Technical Support Engineer-Level 3 Support
(Cologne, Hybrid)

Employment type: Full-time

The Technical Support Engineer - Level 3 is responsible for being an ambassador for Pandoras Box or Widget Designer products, helping clients and users understand the product’s applications and capabilities to improve their user experience.

Your tasks:

• Provide timely, high quality customer support in response to customer tickets and requests for on-site support.
• Use the most effective method for setting up and configuring the equipment required for trade shows and exhibitions.
• Test and analyze Pandoras Box and Widget Designer features and provide feedback to the Developers on ideas for enhancement, improvements to reliability and ease of use.
• Write clear and effective documentation to explain products and features to customers.
• Travel to trade shows, exhibitions and distributor sites, interact with customers and manipulate the software to provide them with a “live” experience based on their questions and level of interest.
• Follow training arrangements and ensure appropriate equipment and software is available and set up.
• Test and analyze new and existing features to fully understand and explain their function to both basic and advanced users.

Your profile:

• 2+ years' of technical support experience in the AV / Event industry
• Customer service oriented with a high level of detail
• Strong written and verbal and analytical & troubleshooting skills
• Flexible and self motivated personality

Engineering Quality Assurance Specialist
(Cologne)

Employment type: Full-time

The Engineering Quality Assurance Specialist is responsible to test both hardware and software for all Pandoras Box product line as well as the Widget Designer to constantly ensure and maximize the quality of these products.

Responsibilities

  • Define, execute and document varying test cases (manual and automated) for Pandoras Box and Widget Designer
  • Support Product Management in defining tests and acceptance criteria for new features
  • Assist development team to troubleshoot issues
  • Setup and test hardware
  • Assist Technical Support staff with external tickets, investigating and testing a wide range of bugs and hardware problems
  • Analyze new features to gain understanding of their purpose and functionality, discussing with Developers and Technical Product Manager to clarify questions, concerns and testing goals
  • Review and evolve test procedures
  • Write product documentation
  • Make recommendations for new features or procedural changes that will make the software more user friendly.

Requirements

  • BS/BA in Electronic Engineering and/or Media Technology Degree (or equivalent technical experience)
  • 2 - 4 years of hands-on experience in the AV industry
  • Ability to diagnose and execute complex technical problems independently
  • Strong knowledge of projector technology

Software Engineer
(Cologne, Hybrid)

Employment type: Full-time

Christie is looking for a Software Developer to join our technical team. This position is responsible for writing software code for Widget Designer using .Net languages. This includes the development of the code architecture as well as implementation of new features.

Responsibilities

  • Write code and tests that will achieve desired feature objectives.
  • Create software infrastructure, reusing or reformulating code whenever possible.
  • Recommend ideas and plans to determine new feature basics.
  • Constant communication with development team to exchange knowledge, support others and get support.
  • Actively take part in the planning of release and sprint cycles by estimating tasks and justifying those estimations as well as choosing tasks for next cycle.
  • Pair program with different members of development team.
  • Check ticket systems and investigate and fix reported bugs.
  • Reproduce/recreate the behavior to better understand the nature of the problem.
  • Pinpoint the break point in the code, fix bugs and request testing to ensure that the desired functionality is achieved.

Requirements

  • Fluent in German and English
  • 3 – 5 years of .Net coding experience preferably Full Stack (Webtechnologies/Distributed Systems as a bonus)
  • Very good knowledge in multi-threaded applications (ideally .NET TPL)
  • General knowledge in network protocols/-technologies (i.e. TCP/IP, UDP, HTTP, WebSockets)
  • Bachelor / Master’s in Computer Programming (Possibly a Physics, Mathematics or Natural Science background)
  • Very good computer skills
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work as a team in order to fulfill business goals
